Trainers facilitate the session, provide support and help with troubleshooting as participants try to complete the labs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This open lab focuses on&nbsp;<strong>IS-IS routing protocol<\/strong>, a widely used IGP (interior gateway protocol) in both enterprise and service provider networks. Participants will learn how to configure IS-IS for IPv4 and IPv6 using the APNIC Academy virtual lab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"id-20230406-OpenLab:Routing\/IS-IS-CourseOverview-TargetAudience\">Target audience<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Technical staff who are building or operating a service provider or enterprise network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"id-20230406-OpenLab:Routing\/IS-IS-CourseOverview-Pre-requisites\">Prerequisites<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is assumed that participants have a basic understanding of network operations, Internet technologies, OSI reference model, TCP\/IP.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participants must have recently attended the&nbsp;<strong>IS-IS Operation Tutorial.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"id-20230406-OpenLab:Routing\/IS-IS-CourseOverview-OtherRequirements\">Other requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Hardware<\/strong>: It is highly recommended that participants bring their own laptop computers with Wifi(b\/g\/n) and administrative access to system to practice the lessons learned during the workshops.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Software<\/strong>: SSH Client, Telnet Client (PuTTy)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm Secure SHell (SSH) is allowed from the office or home network to access the lab infrastructure. Test ssh connectivity, try to connect to&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/route-views.routeviews.org\/\">route-views.routeviews.org<\/a>.
