We will also discuss best practices around what routing information should be carried in IS-IS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Target audience<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Technical staff who are involved in Internet technology standards, local and national network infrastructure planning &amp; deployment, and day-to-day network operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prerequisites<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>It is assumed that participants have a basic understanding of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>network operations, Internet technologies, OSI reference model and TCP\/IP.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic Linux command line (CLI) skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The lab exercises use Cisco IOS configuration syntax.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We recommend the following Academy courses be completed before the start of the tutorial:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Routing Basics: <a href=\"https:\/\/academy.apnic.net\/en\/course\/routing-fundamentals-course\/\">https:\/\/academy.apnic.net\/en\/course\/routing-fundamentals-course\/<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Linux Basics virtual lab: <a href=\"https:\/\/academy.apnic.net\/en\/virtual-labs\/\">https:\/\/academy.apnic.net\/en\/virtual-labs\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Hardware<\/strong>: It is highly recommended that participants bring their own laptop computers with Wifi(b\/g\/n) and administrative access to system to practice the lessons learned during the workshops.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Software<\/strong>: SSH Client, Telnet Client (PuTTy)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm Secure SHell (SSH) is allowed from the office or home network to access the lab infrastructure?
