Trainers facilitate the session, provide support and help with troubleshooting as participants try to complete the exercises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This open lab focuses on IPv6 Security and includes hands-on exercises to help the participants understand the security issues with IPv6 protocol. This lab also introduces tools to test IPv6 security to mitigate attacks and&nbsp;learn operational security considerations when deploying IPv6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"id-20240528-OpenLab:IPv6Security-CourseOverview-TargetAudience\">Target audience<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Technical staff who are involved in Internet technology standards, local and national network infrastructure planning &amp; deployment, and day-to-day network operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"id-20240528-OpenLab:IPv6Security-CourseOverview-Pre-requisites\">Prerequisites<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This workshop assumes that participants have some&nbsp;working knowledge of IP Routing and IPv6 Protocol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants are expected to have attended the Open Tutorial on&nbsp;<strong>IPv6 Deployment Planning &amp; IPv6 Security<\/strong>&nbsp;delivered earlier this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"id-20240528-OpenLab:IPv6Security-CourseOverview-OtherRequirements\">Other requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Hardware<\/strong>: It is highly recommended that participants bring their own laptop computers with Wifi(b\/g\/n) and administrative access to system to practice the lessons learned during the workshops.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Software<\/strong>: SSH Client, Telnet Client (PuTTy)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm Secure SHell (SSH) is allowed from the office or home network to access the lab infrastructure. Test ssh connectivity, try to connect to&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/route-views.routeviews.org\/\">route-views.routeviews.org<\/a>.
